Over the next couple weeks, this blog will be splashed with colors of fall and comments of things like hot cider and hot pumpkin pie, and warm blankets, and warm hands . . . I refuse to believe that it is really almost winter outside. I think there are times when I prefer to distance myself from reality. I would call that optimism ~ always looking for, and hoping for the better ~ thinking that everything will always work out for the best. Others would call it dillusional ~that choosing to live in a “fantasy world” is indeed crazy. There was once a man named Paul, and he said, “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. ” It is a challenge for me to live in a place where I have had to learn how to build a fire to heat my home, but today, I am going to step back (out of the black and white) and “consider the joy” that is here in the colors of fall.
keep checking back as many more families have chosen fall to freeze time – until next summer!
