There was a time when I didn’t see the beauty in the clouds; when I didn’t stop to look at every pregnant woman walking by because of the miracle that was right there in front of me. There was a time when the gaze of two lovers didn’t make me smile; when the light in a childs’ eyes didn’t catch my attention. There was a time in my life when I wasn’t always carrying a camera in my hands.
“The truth is, when I got started in this business, it wasn’t because I had a full understanding of the importance of the business, but because I thought it was fun. I found it exciting. It fulfilled me, watever it was that I was looking for. ” ~ Sam Donaldson
Maybe it was the realization of how fast time goes and the intense feeling of wanting to freeze time that caused me to look at life a little differently than I used to. Maybe it was my need to create something. Maybe it was my great love of people and relationships. Or maybe it was as Sam Donaldson said, “I thought it was fun.”
Whatever the reason, I don’t want to stop! I am hooked. I am hooked because so many great people have given me the opportunity to be a part of their lives – if only for a moment – a moment in which I can help freeze time. Meet the Fletcher Family and the Richards Family. These two families from Scottsdale, AZ spent their school “fall break” being together away from the normal – away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They wanted to stop time ~ and just enjoy one another.
