walking and dancing

all weddings carry beauty

necklace clasps, chocolate drizzle, lace,

color, baby’s breath, sparkling eyes

all weddings are the same . . . except . . .

they’re not

Meet Mark and Rachel.

Their wedding was like every other wedding. 

There were emotions and order and beauty. 

Their wedding was like every other wedding  . . . except  . . . it wasn’t.

This wedding was special.

This wedding was incredibly unique.

This wedding was about a deep love that had been handed down from generation to generation. 

This wedding was about a love that had been protected by their parents, and their grandparents, and their great-grandparents. 

Generations of love and marriage were represented at this wedding.

Generations of emotions and order and beauty were present.

This wasn’t just any father walking his daughter down the aisle, but this was Rachels daddy – full of pride. . .

This wasn’t just any mother, either.  This was a mother who dedicated her days to seeing her children succeed.

This mother and father coupled with Mark’s mom and dad represented family.  They represented marriage – good, good marriage.

At most weddings, I find an image that love – my favorite.  Most of the time it is of the bride and groom.  In fact, every one of my favorite images is usually taken during our “photo session!”

Not at this wedding, though.

Don’t get me wrong.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE so many of their images, but their is one image of Rachel’s little sister watching as her sister spends a quiet moment in prayer with her new husband . . . I just get sucked in – sucked into wondering what this “little” sister is thinking about this moment in her family’s life.  My favorite . . . .oh man!  This one  – of Rachels parents, with their parents in the background . . . it’s as if their joy has been made complete.
