. . . love in Montana . . .

traveling.  traveling.  traveling.

~

this is my summer!

~

and let me tell you, I AM LOVING IT!!!

~

california.  oregon.  all over montana.

i love it!

~

in case you didn’t know already, i love wedding season.

i mean i love it!

~

while on my last trip, someone asked me what it was about photography that i loved so much.

i had to really pause, because there really are so many things . . . but the longer i thought about it, and the more honest i was with myself, i realized it was really more the people that i love more than the actual photography itself.

when i spoke it out loud, i think i startled the person that asked me . . . and maybe in some sense, i startled myself.

~

i think i really love finding ways to tell a very unique story . . . in a very limited time . . .  in a very creative and special way.

i love meeting new people, and then i think i almost get “high” (is that okay to say) off creating ways for them to share their story with me.

light and conversation and posing and laughter and talking and kissing (them, of course) and  . . . oh, there are so many ways to tell a little bit of their story.

~

i love it when a bride and groom realize they can trust me  .  . . their is a sense of relief, i think, when they realize that this is their opportunity to share and savor this amazing time in their lives – not just right now . . . but for years to come.

Meet TJ and Tracy.

I cannot even tell you how super – off the charts – CUTE these two love birds were.

~

~

They are from Kentucky.

and, i must confess, it took all i had in me to not try and talk like they did!  oh how i wanted their accent just for the day!

~

~

They were here in Montana doing some fishing.

Cowboy hats and all, they were here to enjoy the wide open spaces that the Big Sky country has to offer.

~

~

. . . and this is why i loved them so much!

They knew what they loved about each other.

They knew that they shared something special with one another.

Being together . . . doing things together . . . fishing . . . breathing in  Montana air . . . were things that they loved.

~

~

Right away, Tracy and I knew we would be a good match.

We both wanted to share their story.

~

~

Their own love story.

They wanted to share it in their own way.

They didn’t want pictures that looked like someone else.

They wanted pictures that looked like them.

~

~

They wanted pictures that they could share with others.

They wanted pictures that they could look back on and remember . . .

. . . who they are together.
