Often times we talk about how photography as being used to
help us remember something. We use
pictures to stop time and remember moments.
~
We look at images in order to bring understanding. They are a visual tool to enlighten, teach,
express . . . They tell a story.
We look at images to monitor change – to make goals, to see
progress . . . or failure.
We look at images created throughout history to see how the
world was – what it looked like, what it has become, and how it as changed.
~
The one thing that is certainly evident through photography
is change.

This sweet girlie, Gabby, turned one.

I first met Gabby when she was just a few weeks old. Every couple of months, I would get to see
her and her family again. Each time we
were together, she looked different. She
had grown, had learned new things, and was becoming . . . . Gabby! Her little personality was evident from the
first time I took pictures of her – wide eyed . . . curious.

What an honor it was to watch her grow through her first year.
