Patchwork Photography Open House

In January, I got an itch.  I got an itch to start something new.  And those that know me would say that when I get an itch, its hard – very hard – for me to not scratch it.

For three years now, I have been working out of my home.  I have loved it – and hated it!  I love being able to be so close to my family, and have a job that is so flexible while my children are still young.  But working from home has a lot of down falls as well.  One of which being that there is never any seperation.  Work and home became the same.  My livingroom and bedroom was always overwhelmed by “work” and prints and beautiful pieces of art that little hands couldn’t touch.  And my office (my bedroom) was always covered with the clothes I wore yesterday or my children’s special things.  So, in January, I felt like I needed space.  Creative space.  Clean space.  Seperate space.  Space.  And can you believe it, but God was already preparing a space –  a space just for me – right in the middle of our “downtown.”

It has been a work in progress for the past three months, and slowly but surely we are pulling things together.  Last week, we had our open house and invited the public to come in and take a peek.  I wanted to share with you some of the images before we took over the space, so that you could see the change.  Unfortuantely, I got caught up in the moment, and took no after pictures of what our new space looks like . . . I guess you will just have to come take a peek for yourselves . . . We are at 13 S. Idaho St. – right behind Berts’s CD’s.

For all the parents whom brought their kids in to me that day, THANK YOU!  I had so much fun!  You can view all of you pictures here, and if you did not receive and email tell you how to get your free prints, please let me know.
