Boys Will Be Boys: Creative Ideas for High School Senior Portraits

When it comes time to graduate from high school we consider it the first major milestone of your life and we will make it a very big deal!  A senior photography experience is a way to remember all of the accomplishments you have had and show the world what you have become. These images should reflect your personality to the fullest! Photo Fusion studio has several talented photographers! These photographers will put you at ease, laugh a lot, and give you pictures that you are proud to show your family and friends.

However, there are a few tips and tricks to make your session more memorable.

1. Choose a meaningful location. Typically, high school students have spent a large majority of their high school career at the same places. Consider choosing a location that has personal significance to you (or represents one of those sentimental places) such as a favorite hangout spot or the sports field where you play. In the end, this will make the portraits mean more.
2. Make this experience your own! We encourage all our seniors to make their experience their own! If you have a favorite pup you want to bring along, do it! Props can add personality and creativity to your senior portrait session. Consider bringing items that showcase your interests and hobbies. If you’re into sports, music, or reading in the sun, let us know so we can chat through ideas to incorporate your passion.
3. What to wear?? 100% dress in a way that reflects your personality! You can change up your look during the session so bring a variety of options.  Keep it classic: Choose classic, timeless pieces that won’t go out of style quickly and try to coordinate with your surroundings: Think about where you’re taking the photos and choose colors that go well with the location. For example, if you’re taking pictures in a park, wear colors that are natural and earthy.And above all, HAVE FUN!  A senior session should be a fun and enjoyable experience, so don’t stress too much about getting the perfect shot. Relax, be yourself, and trust your photographer to capture your personality and style.
