Like in a fairytale, many women dream about that moment when their groom sees them walking down the aisle for the first time. We as women long to be beautiful ~ to be sought after by the one we love ~ to be cherished and adored! We want to them to stand in awe of OUR beauty.
Over the past several years, I have watched brides prepare for this moment in so many different ways ~ hair, check, makeup, check, fingernails, check, jewelry, check, and the list goes on and on ~ on in preparation for that one moment ~ that first look.
Often times I encourage couples to have that moment before the ceremony ~ to steal a moment of that crazy day for themselves. I don’t want to take away from that magical moment when they look at eachother and realize that TODAY is the DAY! I just want to provide time, I guess; time to breathe, time to really look at one another, and time prepare together for what lies ahead . . . . (and for selfish reasons, I guess, I want time to create some beautiful images that will help them remember that day for years and years and years to come.)
So, if you are planning your wedding and thinking about how the day will go, just consider these thoughts . . .
Chris and Jamie decided to see each other before the ceremony to allow plenty of time for photos . . . so, here, on the bridge, Chris waited.
and THIS is why I love it when the couple sees eachother before the wedding ceremony ~
it allows for some time to breathe, to relax, to whisper sweet nothings to one another, and to LAUGH.
smile. breath. laugh. remember.
