What a celebration!
One year is a big deal! A big, big deal!
I remember, 13 years ago, when I had my first child. I was a young mom, but I was determined to do right by him – cloth diapers, fruits and vegetables first, always in my arms, NO SUGAR until he was one. (Now, things have changed slightly, as my Sarah Beth is 3 months old, and I am like, “here sweet girl, try this lollipop. It is oh so good!”)
Well, I think, most parents are the of the same mentality, and they want the best for their babe’s! So, no sugar until one year, is probably the best. That is why chocolate cake for the one year celebration is usually the norm. Let those little fingers dive right in!
Well, I think that a proper cake smash is in order for every one year old birthday party!
Meet Cassie.
You may remember her from her newborn pictures a year ago. (Click here to see those pictures)
Her mom and dad have given me the great honor of helping them document some key moments in this sweet girls life. It has been FABULOUS to watch her grow up, (click here to see her at 6 months) and at the same time, has given me a greater appreciation for how fast time goes. I feel like it was just yesterday when we laid her on top of her great big dresser to show how tiny she was.
Thank you Josh and Laura for letting me be a part! What a princess you have! I am so excited to continue to watch this little one grow!
What a great picture this is! Who could not want to hold this sweet baby?!!And then there are moments like these . . . .still way too cute!
Cassie had gotten a glimpse of her sled, and she was not going to be happy until she was in it!
And, oh man, when her dad set her in that sled . . . .instant contentment!
She coudn’t have cared how cold it was outside. She was so so happy.Happy Birthday, Cassie.
Happy, happy Birthday!
