We live in such a big world -billions of people covering billions and billions of acres . . . . seven continents full of people.
So, so many people, and yet how many times do we say to ourselves, “its a small world, isn’t it?!”
Well, I seem to say it alot!
Several weeks ago, I was meeting a bride and groom to shoot some engagement pictures. I had met the bride on several occasions, but this would be the first time meeting the groom. He lived in a city four hours away, and so we had never had an occasion to be together.
So, we picked a place to meet, and when he got out of the car, we shook hands, greeted one another, and he says to me, “I think I know you.”
“I’m pretty sure you don’t,” I responded.
“Yes, I am the UPS man that you tooka picture of last year for your blog”
“Augh!” I quickly racked my brain – think back to this “first meeting.”
For those of you whom keep up on my blog, I wrote an entry last year called Guilty Pleasures. It was for a contest. The contest included taking a self portrait while indulging in a “guilty pleasure.” Well, I really wanted to win, so to make my entry complete, I needed a picture of the man whom was often the one delivering it . . . the UPS man – Cole, the groom.
I wanted to crawl in a hole. Mostly I wanted to run and hide, because my two worlds had collided (work and home), and I wasn’t sure what I had been wearing that day. I wasn’t sure what my hair had looked like or if I had still been in my pajamas! Really, I think I was mostly embarrassed, because at that moment, I wasn’t sure exactly what I had written about this “UPS man.”
Well, I couldn’t run and hide, and I would have to wait until I got home to re-read what I had written. So, I embraced the moment and chose in my mind to have fun and do the best I could. HAHAHAHA! And oh, it was so easy! These two just wanted to laugh and kiss and have fun ALL NIGHT LONG! We got so so many great images of the two of them – so here is a sneak peek.
